About the Frost Preparatory Program

Thank you for choosing to enrich your child’s life with the power of music! We are happy to have you in our program. The goal of The Preparatory Program is to develop your child’s individual interests and abilities in music, ranging from music appreciation to preparation for music conservatories.

The Frost School of Music has been recognized as one of the best music schools in the nation. In addition, it offers its students one of the widest choices of career programs including instrumental performance (classical and jazz), music business, media writing and production, and composition to name a few. Our students have the opportunity to be surrounded by talented musicians, which is not only inspiring but also motivating. Our classes take place in the state-of-the-art facilities that allow us to take full advantage of all of the latest technology in music.

I encourage you to take your children to as many concerts as possible. Throughout the year there are numerous Frost School of Music student and faculty recitals held on campus. Most of the performances are free! Please visit the school of music’s website to see the listing of concerts.
