The Frost Summer Jazz Workshop

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 worldwide, it has become necessary to suspend this year’s workshop.  We send our sincere thanks to our loyal audiences and aspiring young musicians who wished to attend this summer.  We are concerned most of all for your safety and continued health. Please join us again next year for a fabulous 2022 edition!

About the program

Work exclusively with Frost School of Music Jazz Faculty in a 5-day intensive program, designed to help students develop their artistry and professionalism. Open to both instrumentalists and vocalists, the curriculum develops both individual and collaborative skills. Students will learn in multiple environments, including rehearsal studios, classrooms, and performance venues.
Subjects covered in the program include both artistic and vocational training. The curriculum includes Jazz theory and harmony, composition, music technology, recording and production, and entrepreneurship in the music industry.
Additional benefits of this program include our unique College Prep Workshops – From Audition to Graduation - designed to help prepare students who are interested in majoring in music and jazz studies in college.
