Isabella Herrera was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She began taking piano lessons at the age of 7 under Megan Walsh while also attending the Frost Preparatory Program at age 10 as a student. Isabella began taking violin lessons at the age of 9. This was when she developed her passion for classical music. Isabella performed in her middle and high school orchestra while also participating in various extracurricular orchestras and summer camps. In 2015, Isabella won the state Chopin Competition on piano as well as the GMYS Concerto Competition on violin. In 2016 Isabella performed as a piano soloist with her high school orchestra accompaniment, performing at the Allstate competition in Tampa and receiving straight superiors and ranking first place.

After graduating high school. Isabella became an official theory teacher working at the Frost Preparatory Program, constantly reminiscing the times she was a young student there herself. Isabella now attends the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami studying Music Education under Yianis Illianadis and Don Coffman. Although Isabella's principal instrument is piano, she continues to perform in university ensembles on the violin to continue her passion as a string instrumentalist. The only thing Isabella loves more than playing music is teaching it and bringing it into the lives of children to make a positive impact.
